1980
Makhampom theatre group was found as a Thai theatre group that grew out of Thailand’s 1970s pro-democracy movement. We provide Thai communities with theatre as micro media to address local issues and discriminations. We train facilitators and educators in Thailand and internationally. We explore a contemporary Thai theatre and are prolific performers. We have an extensive schools touring and theatre in education program. We are a big team of volunteers

2005
We were registed as the Makhampom Foundation.

2007
Today, we open the “Makhampom Studio” at Sapan Kwai Intersection on June 14,2007
with three objectives:
-To present Makhampom’s activities to public
- to run Community Theatre Programs and link with locals through various activities for
kids, youth and the public, to entertain and educate society through arts.
-to provide an alternative space for promoting the performing arts.
The Makhampom Studio will show our MKP philosophy ……Mad…Knowledge…Participation

What do we have ?
Black Box Theatre : a mini theatre space with an audience capacity of 30-70 presenting
Makhampom theatre productions, local youth production and
international collaborative works. All friends who love theatre are
welcome to make use of this space at reasonable rates

Gallery : a small gallery with 6 display areas.

Coffee Corner : a mini bar provides you a simple living corner for small meting, reading
and relaxation. Internet is provided.
