                       Train the Trainer Courses 2009/10

Every effective organization, from global agency to community youth group, is built upon the people within. The objective of best practice should be grounded in the development of the capacity of the people within the organization. At the individual level, this involves a balance of three core elements: knowledge, attitude, and behavior. At the organizational level, systems, environments, and cultures shape a group’s effectiveness. And at the societal level, best practice is built upon an understanding of context and one’s place within that context. Makhampom works with the principal that capacity building starts with the people, through an integrated approach, combining individual, organizational, and societal elements.

Comments
’’The Makhampom training of trainers was invaluable for IRC’’s Legal Assistance Center Project team.It went well beyound normal TOTs to help us develop a much broader prospective on training workshops, and different methods of exploring information, Ideas and issuse. The focus on ’’meeting them where they are’’ has helped us to ensure that our workshops in refugee camp communities are relevant, responsive and  interesting. Most importantly, it has helped us to ensure they are fun. And what better place to learn than Makhampom’’s beautiful Chiang Dao base;’’
Shane Scanlon, Legal Assistance Centre, IRC
